Help Fixing things The bar did not appear on the sell form

The bar did not appear on the sell form

It stays hidden rather than half-filling a form it no longer recognises. Here is how to tell which of the four causes it is.

Work through these in order: are you signed in to Vinted, is it a Vinted domain Flogit covers, has the page finished loading, and has Vinted changed the form.

The last one is the only one you cannot fix yourself, and it is the one where reporting it actually helps.

One: are you signed in?

Flogit works through your own Vinted session. Signed out, it sees nothing at all, because there is nothing it is allowed to see. Sign in and reload the page.

This also catches the case where a session quietly expired: the page still looks logged in until you try to do something.

Two: is it a domain Flogit covers?

Flogit runs on 24 Vinted domains: .pt, .es, .fr, .it, .de, .co.uk, .pl and the rest. If you are on a Vinted site that is not one of them, nothing will appear.

Worth checking if you were sent a link, or if you switched country and ended up somewhere unexpected.

Three: has the page finished loading?

The bar attaches after Vinted's own form is on screen. On a slow connection there is a moment where the form is visible and the bar is not. Give it a couple of seconds, and if nothing happens, reload.

If you have just updated Flogit, the tab you already had open is running the old copy. Flogit shows a banner asking you to reload when this happens; reload the Vinted tab and it comes back.

Four: Vinted changed the form

This is the real one. Vinted redesigns its sell form from time to time, and when the shape it expects is gone, Flogit does not appear.

That is deliberate. The alternative is a bar that attaches to a form it does not understand and fills in three fields out of eight, or writes a title into the wrong box. A tool that half-fills a form is worse than a tool that admits it cannot.

Telling us is genuinely useful here

In Settings there is a Report a problem section with Copy diagnostics. It puts the recent error details on your clipboard, and shows you exactly what it copied so you can read it before posting. Paste that into a post on the board with what you were doing.

This is the one class of problem where a report turns into a fix in days rather than whenever somebody happens to notice.

It cannot run in the phone app

An extension needs a browser. Vinted's mobile app is not one, and no extension of any kind can attach to it. The mobile web site in a desktop-class browser is a different matter.

Did this answer it?

If not, say so on the board and the article gets fixed.
