Help Prices & the market Read a market check
Read a market check
Four numbers, and the fourth one decides whether the other three mean anything.
Open an item and press Get comps. Flogit searches Vinted for genuinely comparable pieces and gives you the Median, the Min, the Max and how many it found.
Read the count first. A median from four listings is a rumour; a median from forty is a price.
What each number is
| Number | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Median | The middle asking price of the comparable listings. Not the average: one absurd listing cannot drag it. |
| Min / Max | The spread. A tight spread means the market agrees; a wide one means condition or model matters more than you thought. |
| Sample | How many listings the median came from. The number that decides whether to trust the rest. |
| Your price | A marker showing where you sit against all of it. |
Why the search is stricter than Vinted's
Vinted's own search matches on any word. Search "wool overcoat charcoal 40" and it will happily return a wool scarf, a charcoal t-shirt and a pair of size 40 boots. Every one of those is cheaper than a coat, and every one of them drags the median down.
That is not a small effect. A median poisoned by mismatches tells you to price a 40-euro coat at 12, and if you follow it you lose real money.
So Flogit filters by category and condition before it calculates anything, and drops what does not actually resemble your item. The result is a smaller sample and a truer number.
When it refuses to answer
If filtering leaves too few listings to reason from, Flogit says the sample is too small instead of printing a confident median from three results. You can lower the threshold in Settings under Min sample size, but the number does not become more true because you asked for it.
Rare items are genuinely hard to price. A tool that pretends otherwise is worse than one that admits it.
These are asking prices of active listings, not confirmed sale prices. Vinted does not publish what things sold for. An asking-price median tells you what you are competing against, which is the thing you can actually act on today.
