The photo editor

Enough of a change that a relisted item does not look like the same one that failed to sell.

Six presets, or the sliders behind them: brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, zoom, rotate, background, pad to square.

It downloads the edited file for you to re-upload on Vinted. Replacing the photo on the listing directly is not built yet, and your originals are never modified.

Why bother before a relist

A relist puts the item back at the top of search, in front of people who have already scrolled past it once. If the photo is identical, a fair number of them recognise it and scroll past again.

A different crop, a brighter frame or a clean background is often the difference between the second showing working and it being a wasted relist off your monthly allowance.

The presets

Vivid, Warm, Cool, Fade, black and white, and Vintage. Each is a starting point rather than a finish: open the sliders after picking one and adjust.

Pad to square is the quietly useful one. Vinted's grid crops to a square, so a tall photo loses its top and bottom in the thumbnail. Padding decides what gets cut instead of letting the crop decide for you.

A house style, applied automatically

Use my photo style in Settings sets one framing for every photo you publish, so the grid looks deliberate rather than assembled over eleven months in different rooms.

It applies when a listing is published, which means new listings and relists. It does not go back and reprocess things already up, because that would mean re-uploading your whole shop.

Using it once

  1. Open the item and choose a photo

    The editor opens with the original untouched underneath.

  2. Pick a preset, then adjust

    Preview shows the result as you go. Reset puts everything back.

  3. Take the file and re-upload it

    It downloads. You add it on Vinted in place of the old one.

The one thing it does not do yet

Swapping the photo on the live listing for you. That is a write to Vinted and it is not built, so the flow ends with a file in your downloads rather than pretending it finished.
