Help Fixing things Slow Flogit down
Slow Flogit down
Three positions, and there is no faster one. Slower is the only direction, on purpose.
Pace in Settings: normal, Careful, Very careful.
It sets how far apart Flogit spaces its requests to Vinted. There is no setting that speeds it up.
Why the pace exists
Every request Flogit makes goes through one queue that waits between calls. An account producing a burst of traffic looks like a script and gets treated like one, and Vinted's restrictions are slow to appeal and sometimes permanent.
The queue is the most important code in the product. The setting is the part of it you control.
When to move it
- You have been getting refusals on writes, or Vinted seems to be slowing you at its end.
- You run a large shop and do big batches: a market sync over hundreds of items, or a long repricing session.
- Your account has had a warning before, and you would rather not find the line again.
The cost is time. A sync that took four minutes takes longer, and nothing else changes.
Why there is no faster
Because somebody would use it on two thousand items and find out why it does not exist, and by then the account is restricted and the setting was our fault.
The default is already the fastest pace considered safe. Everything above it is somebody else's problem to have.
The other limits you cannot move
Relisting has its own throttle beyond the monthly allowance: one at a time, a gap between them, a daily ceiling. No plan and no setting raises it, because relisting is delete-and-recreate and it is the action with real consequences.
If Flogit has been failing intermittently and you cannot tell why, moving the pace down is the cheapest thing to try before assuming a bug. It costs a few minutes and rules out the commonest cause.
