Two of the same thing: stock lines
Vinted has no idea you own five of something. A stock line is how Flogit does.
On Vinted, five identical t-shirts are five separate listings that know nothing about each other. Sell one and the other four carry on as if nothing happened.
A stock line is one row that says you have five, tracks how many are listed, how many sold and how many are left to put up.
Who needs this
If everything you sell is second-hand and one of a kind, you do not. Skip it.
If you buy in quantity, make things yourself, or keep ending up with three of the same size, it is the difference between knowing your stock and counting boxes.
Making one
-
Press New stock line in the Stock tab
Give it a Name, and optionally brand, size and condition so it matches the listings later.
-
Say how many you Have
And what each one cost with Cost each. That cost then flows into the margin of every sale from that line, which is the whole point of doing it once here rather than on each sale.
-
Link your listings to it
See link a listing to a stock line. Flogit also offers to do it when it spots a listing that looks like one you already track.
What the columns mean
| Column | Means |
|---|---|
| Have | How many you physically own. |
| Listed | How many are on Vinted right now. |
| Sold | How many have gone. |
| To list | Owned, not sold, not listed. In other words, what you could put up today. |
To list is the one that earns its keep. It is the number nobody has when they are working from memory.
When one sells
Selling a listing tied to a line takes one unit off it. If units remain, Flogit offers to list the next one rather than leaving you to remember.
Every unit sold carries the line's unit cost into its own margin, so the figures stay right without you touching them.
Archive puts a line you have finished with out of the way while keeping the sales history attached to it. Unarchive brings it back if you restock.
