The first sync, and why it is slow on purpose

It reads your whole shop once, slowly. The waiting is deliberate, and it is what keeps your account out of trouble.

Open Vinted with Flogit installed and it starts reading: your listings first, then your order history. Leave the tab open and it tells you when it is done.

A shop of a few hundred items takes minutes, not seconds. That is not slowness to be fixed. Every request goes through a queue that pauses between calls, because an account that fires a burst of traffic at Vinted looks like a script and gets treated like one.

What it is reading

Two things, in this order. Your active listings, so the inventory has something in it. Then your completed orders, which is what makes the sales figures real rather than a guess from the listing that disappeared.

Both come from Vinted's own website, in your own browser, using the session you are already signed in with. Nothing is copied to a server we own.

Watching it happen

  1. Open Vinted and find Flogit in the navigation

    It appears inside Vinted's own menu, not as a separate window. If it is not there, see the bar did not appear.

  2. Open Inventory

    The counter in the toolbar shows how far along it is. You can use the rest of Flogit while it works.

  3. Leave the tab open until the counter stops

    Closing it does not lose anything: the next time you open Vinted it carries on from where it stopped.

You can make it slower

The pace is a setting, not a secret. In Settings there is a Pace control with three positions: normal, Careful and Very careful. Moving it down puts more time between requests.

There is no position that makes it faster. If there were, somebody would use it on a shop of two thousand items and find out why it does not exist.

Then do one more thing

Set your country and currency in Settings, and add what you paid for a few sold items. Revenue is what Vinted already tells you; margin is what you came for, and it needs a number only you have. See add what you paid for an item.

Worth knowing

Flogit only works while a Vinted tab is open. It is not a service that runs on a server while you are asleep, which is also why it cannot miss a sale that happened overnight: it catches up when you next open Vinted.
