Send photos from your phone

The photos are always on the wrong device. Scan a code, shoot, and they arrive on your computer as you take them.

On Vinted's sell form, press Phone photos. A QR code appears. Scan it with your phone's camera, take the photos, and they land in the form on your computer while you are still shooting.

How it goes

  1. Press Phone photos on the sell form

    A panel opens with a QR code and a countdown.

  2. Point your phone's camera at it

    No app to install. The camera app's own link is enough, and it opens a page that does one thing.

  3. Shoot

    Each photo appears in the form on your computer a second or two after you take it. Keep going until you are happy.

  4. Press Done

    The link stops working immediately. It would have stopped on its own anyway.

What happens to the photos

They pass through our server, because that is the only way to get a file from one device to another. We hold them as briefly as we can:

  • stored in Cloudflare R2 in the EU, and deleted the moment your computer collects them, normally within seconds;
  • anything not collected is erased automatically when the link expires, 15 minutes after you opened it, whether you used it or not;
  • the link's address is a random 128-bit value that acts as its only key, and reading the photos back additionally requires the same device that opened the link. Somebody who photographed your QR code could add pictures to your form; they could never see what you uploaded;
  • your phone shrinks each photo before sending, so the original full-resolution file never leaves it.

They are not sent to anyone else unless you separately choose to run fill in on them.

Why this one is not on the free plan

It is the only feature we actually host. The link comes from our server and the photographs pass through it, so it costs us storage and traffic on every single use. Everything else in Flogit runs on your own computer and costs us nothing, which is why the free plan can be as generous as it is.

If the link expires while you are shooting

Close the panel and press Phone photos again. The photos already delivered stay in the form; only the connection is gone.
