Why the shipping label disappears
Vinted stops keeping it after delivery. On old sales the button is disabled rather than left there to fail.
The label belongs to Vinted, and Vinted deletes it once the parcel arrives. There is nothing left to download.
Flogit keeps your copy of the one you already opened.
Why the button greys out
Because a button that looks alive and then fails is worse than one that says why it cannot work. On a sale past the point where Vinted keeps the label, Flogit disables it and explains, rather than sending a request it knows will come back empty.
When you actually need it afterwards
Disputes. A buyer claiming a parcel never arrived, or arrived opened, or was not what was described. The label and its tracking are part of what shows the parcel went where it should, when it should.
That is the case for opening it once at the time rather than only when you need it, which is always after Vinted has thrown it away.
Tracking outlives the label
The tracking number stays on the sale, with a link to the carrier's own page. Carriers keep their records longer than Vinted keeps the PDF, so the number is often still worth something after the label is gone.
The stronger record
If disputes are a real risk for what you sell, the label is the weaker half of the evidence. The stronger half is a dated record of what the item looked like when it left you, captured before posting and held on your own machine.

This is Vinted's retention policy, not a bug and not something an extension can work around. What Flogit can do, and does, is keep your copy of what it already fetched.
