Am I reported under DAC7?

Being reported is not the same as owing tax. Flogit tracks both counters so it is never a surprise in January.

Two thresholds, and either one triggers it: about 30 sales in the year, or about €2,000 in revenue.

Passing one means Vinted sends your details to the tax authority. That is all it means. Whether you owe anything is a completely separate question, and for most people clearing out a wardrobe the answer is no.

Either counter, not both

This is the part people get wrong. Thirty-one items at 30 each is 930 euros, well under the money limit, and it is still reported, because it passed the count.

It works the other way too: five sales at 500 each passes on revenue while nowhere near thirty items.

Flogit tracks both against your own country's numbers, which you set in Settings under DAC7 sales threshold and DAC7 revenue threshold. The defaults are the EU baseline; some countries differ.

Reported and taxable are different questions

Tax is on a gain, not on money passing through your account. Three rough situations, and only one of them usually means tax:

SituationUsually
Selling your old things at a lossYour details go over, but selling your own used things for less than you paid is not a gain.
Sometimes you get lucky and make a profitThe profit on that one item can count, even if the rest of the year did not.
Buying or making items to sellBuying or making things specifically to sell is trading, and it is treated as trading.

Why this needs your costs

All three rows above turn on the same number: what the item cost you. Without it, your own records cannot tell the difference between clearing out at a loss and running a business, and neither can you.

This is the year that recording costs stops being tidiness and starts being the thing that answers the question.

Getting the numbers out

Insights has the yearly view: revenue, cost of goods, expenses and the net at the bottom. Export PDF writes it as a PDF you can hand to an accountant.

The line that matters for tax is the one at the bottom, not the one at the top.

This is not tax advice

Thresholds and rules differ in every country, and the summary above is a rough map, not your situation. Set your own country's numbers in Settings, and if a real amount is at stake, talk to somebody qualified. Flogit is an independent tool and is not connected to Vinted.
