Help Sales, customers & money Where your buyers actually are
Where your buyers actually are
Ranked by money rather than by parcels. The answer is usually not the country you are sitting in.
Where your buyers are ranks buyer countries by what each is worth to you, with a map shaded the same way.
It is the cheapest fact in the product, and it changes what you list and how you write it.
The assumption worth testing
Most sellers picture their buyers as people like them, nearby. Vinted is one marketplace across two dozen countries, and the split is rarely what anybody guesses.
On this product's own shop, measured rather than assumed: 85% of what ships goes abroad, and France alone is 57%. The home country was a rounding error.
Why money and not parcels
A country that takes thirty cheap items is not worth the same as one that takes ten expensive ones, and sorting by count would put the first on top.
% of total is the column to read. The average sale per country is where the surprises usually are.
What it should change
- What you stock. If one country is half your revenue, what sells there is what to buy more of.
- The language you write in. Not the listing, which Vinted handles, but the packing slip note and your reply templates.
- Which reply drafts matter. A market you did not know you had is a market you have been answering slowly.
The honest gap
Vinted does not expose a buyer on every order, so sales paid by QR receipt through Vinted Go arrive with nobody attached and no country.
Those are counted separately and labelled, and the percentages say they are of the buyers that could be identified. Not quietly folded in as if they were unknown-country sales.
A month of sales does not distinguish a market from a coincidence. This is on Trader for that reason: it wants the whole sales record to say anything reliable.
